The client is a young man looking for a fully accessible living and working spaces as a part of the family home.

Challenge

The family and private spaces had to be designed fully accessible for disabled use while making sure the overall result felt seamless throughout. The organization of the plan had to take note of the existing building and garden. The budget and available space drove the need to think carefully about every spatial form and scale.

Result

Minimizing turns and corridor spaces would both make the use of the spaces more rational, but at the same time frame the garden and patio spaces externally. Large windows brought plenty of pleasant daylight into the spaces with a direct view into the garden.
